Blinkcam can take photos when you blink harder
There was a prediction that 2016 will be the year of wearables & we will see plenty of groundbreaking stuff in the wearable industry. But that didn’t happen. It was hype, and there is not as much progress made as people thought. We have seen cicret bracelet concept and working models of Google Glass, but they are still struggling to take over the market. Cicret Bracelet is still under development. Now there is another project on a Japanese crowdfunding site named as Blinkcam.
Blinkcam is a wearable that allows you to take photos whenever you see them with a harder blink. It doesn’t work with your natural blinking. Thanks to eye tracking technology that is used in this wearable. The project is still under development as the team successfully gained $10,000 in just a few hours. Blinkcam’s campaign is on Japanese crowdfunding site Makuake. The team aims to build a version for the customer soon. There will be an App with which you can manage your photos on your smartphones and can upload to cloud as well. It has built in battery, Bluetooth, Micro USB, Eye movement sensor, and CMOS sensor. The aim of Blinkcam is to let us capture pictures without taking out the camera because some moments need to be captured instantly.
