How to get WhatsApp Video Calling feature on Android?
WhatsApp is the most popular messaging platform for mobile operating systems like Android and iOS. Over 1 Billion people from all around the world are using this app. People love this cross-platform messaging App because it’s fast, responsive and reliable. But the app still doesn’t have a video calling feature which is said to be in beta. Last year, WhatsApp added audio calling support. The feature was in beta and can be enabled by calling someone who doesn’t have WhatsApp calling function. But this is a bit different from last year. Here is how you can get WhatsApp video calling:
- Don’t Miss: Download WhatsApp on Windows and Mac OS
- Must See: Instagram is now available on Windows 10
There are two ways to get WhatsApp video calling:
1) Clear Data:
This trick worked for some people to get WhatsApp video calling. You just have to clear data of the WhatsApp on Android. Go to Settings>App Management>WhatsApp>Clear Data>Reopen WhatsApp>Setup Account.
Remember: that this will clear your all chat history and other data from WhatsApp so do at your own risk or backup your chats before proceeding.
2) Update WhatsApp to Beta:
Updating to WhatsApp Beta in Google Play Store worked for me, and I was successfully able to get WhatsApp video calling feature on my Android Smartphone. Just visit Google Play Store and search WhatsApp. From the App page scroll to bottom and click on become a beta tester. It will take some time to update your status. After that, you will see WhatsApp update. Upgrade the app, and the next time when you press the call button you will see video call option.
Click Here to see WhatsApp Beta page.
Caution: WhatsApp Beta might have bugs so proceed at your own risk.
Update: WhatsApp video calling is now available for everyone.
