Here are new Windows 10 Anniversary Update features:
Windows 10 free update came to an end on July 29, 2016. If you still don’t have Windows 10, then these are features you to convince you to try Windows 10. These new Windows 10 Anniversary update features are on their way to Windows 10 users.
Microsoft Edge Extensions:
If you are a fan of Google Chrome extensions, then rejoice because Microsoft is bringing Chrome extensions to it’s Edge browser. Some extensions are already available for Windows insiders like Evernote, Pinterest, AdBlock, LastPass and 1Password. Developers will be able to port their extensions to Microsoft Edge soon after Windows 10 anniversary update. Microsoft also added web notification support in the new version of Microsoft Edge that will allow websites to push notifications in the action bar of Windows 10.
Dark Theme and UI improvements:
Windows 10 Dark Mode is available in Windows 10 Insider Preview. There is also a way to get it on your current version of Windows 10, but it didn’t work for me.Dark Mode is one of the best things coming in Windows 10 Anniversary update
Automatically Set Timezone:
Apple’s MacOS can update timezone automatically. Windows users were anxiously waiting for this feature. In Windows 10 anniversary update, Microsoft is bringing automatic update Timezone feature. Rejoice Windows fans :’)
Windows Hello for Apps and Websites:
Windows Hello is a limited feature and is only available on some devices. Devices which have powerful hardware like a fingerprint scanner and high-quality cameras to detect faces. Now Microsoft is bringing Windows Hello to the websites and Apps. You can now access your apps and websites. Now you can seamlessly log in to your accounts using improved Windows hello feature.
Windows 10 Apps on Xbox One:
Microsoft year’s old promise is coming to life after first Windows 10 anniversary update. Microsoft’s Xbox One will now support Windows 10 Apps.
Bash in Windows 10:
One of the surprising new Windows 10 Anniversary update features is Bash on Windows 10. Bash in Windows 10 is not surprising for ordinary users but its a big deal for Linux developers. It might convince more developers to make Apps for Windows platform.
Project to PC:
Projecting your display to PC will be easier than ever. You will be able to project from your phone or via a different desktop. You can also use peripheral devices of your PC. Sync your Notifications to your PC:
I think this is the best feature in this update as we can sync our notifications from smartphone to our Windows PC. It might happen via Cortana App on your smartphone. It will sync notifications from your smartphone to PC. The App is available on Windows Phone, Android, and iOS.
Update: Windows 10 Anniversary update is here
Cortana improvements will be a part of new Windows 10 Anniversary update features. It will be a little more intelligent in the new update. You can use Cortana without logging in to your account. Microsoft might bring Cortana to Lockscreen. There are more features that Microsoft will announce on August 2.
Windows ink is the feature that many people have been waiting. It’s one of the best features in Windows 10 anniversary update. Before anniversary update, Windows ink was a limited feature in Windows. But now you can do much more. Windows ink will have a virtual ruler by which you can draw shapes or straight lines precisely on your Pen supported computer.
