Nokia fans rejoice! Nokia Android Smartphones are real
On April 25, 2014, CEO of Microsoft Steve Ballmer bought Nokia for $7.17 Billion (almost $7.9 Billion). That deal was a big blunder for Microsoft and in 2016 Microsoft sold Nokia’s feature phone business to Foxconn for just $350 Million. As per an agreement with Microsoft Nokia will not be able to sell it’s smartphones till Q4 of 2016. Quarter fourth begins on Saturday, October 1, 2016, and ends on Saturday, December 31, 2016. So it means that Nokia will manufacture it’s smartphone in 2017. That means that Nokia Android Smartphones are real.
In a blog post on August 18th, 2016, the company Officially announced that they are coming back in the smartphone business. Nokia is partnering with HMD group which will manufacture the next generation Nokia smartphones. The company also announces that the smartphones will be powered by Android Operating System which means that we will see an Android Nougat or newer version in next-generation Android smartphones. Also, Nokia said that they will not manufacture smartphones anytime soon as HMD group is still working on some things that will take some time.
We will see Nokia smartphones powered by Android OS in 2017
2017 will be the year when Nokia will announce the next wave of their Android powered smartphones. Nokia also thanked people who supported their brand. They also did a survey which shows that people still want to see Nokia smartphones in their hands. Hope for the best. I hope that we will see new Nokia smartphones powered by Android OS soon.
