MIT’s Tattoos will control smart devices like smartphone & computer
MIT research lab just created interested tech that looks like a tattoo and turns your skin into a controller. The tattoos are of gold or silver or brass foils that we use in eatables. These tattoos will allow people to decorate their skin with style as well as tech. The researchers are successfully able to create a tech that will allow people to control smart devices like smartphones and personal computers. The video shows that the skin controls smart devices via these tattoos.
The fabrication of these tattoos is also explained in the video. First, you have to design a circuit board in any software like Photoshop or Paint. After designing the circuit board, they will take out a print of your design on a foil. The foil will later be cut out in the form of your design. Paste that on your skin and embed electronics like LEDs and your smart tattoo is ready. They are able to make a touch trackpad, a touch slider, a thermochromic display and a digital jewelry. There is also a tattoo with NFC chip which can unlock lots of possibilities with your smartphones.
With these tattoos, people also can stylize their skins with different LEDs and lightings that you can embed with these tattoos. MIT media lab aims to bring this technology to people. That is how people can take advantage of tech and their skin at the same time. They partnered with a tattoo making and other jewelry company to make this possible. In the video below researchers from MIT explain that how they are able to make tattoos in which skin controls smartphone and animations in a laptop.. Watch the video below:
