Now you can send SMS via Facebook Messenger app
Facebook Messenger update will now let you use the social messaging app as a native SMS sender. The update will be available shortly in some regions, and the rollout will complete until Friday. The messenger update will allow us to send both Facebook and SMS messages at the same time. The head of Facebook messenger David Marcus announced in his Facebook post that they are enabling SMS via Facebook messenger app. The feature is supposed to be in testing from February and was available to a limited audience.
The messenger will not be available with all features as a messaging app but bubble pop up and emojis will be part of it. That’s nice. The SMS enabled messenger is developed because Facebook thinks that there is no great messaging app right now other than the messenger and also other messaging apps are not doing messaging as they should. That’s why they decided to come up with an integrated platform. After today’s update you will be able to get this feature on your Facebook messenger app. So update your Facebook Messenger to enable new SMS feature. Let me know in the comments that which messaging app you are using right now and what you guys think about SMS via Facebook messenger app. I am currently using Textra as my default messaging app.
